Dr. Mathai Fenn
Dr. Mathai Fenn is a cognitive psychologist, educator, and consultant with a deep passion for understanding how people think, learn, and lead. With a PhD in Cognitive Psychology from IIT Bombay, his work has always been about bridging the gap between psychology, leadership, and personal growth—helping individuals and organizations navigate change, develop critical thinking, and adapt to an unpredictable future.
With over four decades of experience, Mathai has taught at XLRI Jamshedpur, American University of Armenia, and NRTI (now Gati Shakti Vishwavidyalaya). His approach to learning isn’t just about acquiring knowledge; it’s about transformational experiences—moments when perspectives shift, and new possibilities emerge.
He has worked extensively as a consultant, coach, and trainer, guiding leaders, entrepreneurs, and professionals in companies like BHEL, Indian Oil, AIRK.ae, Welspun, and Nature Pure Super Criticals. Whether it's in boardrooms, classrooms, or one-on-one coaching sessions, his work focuses on helping people unlock insights, challenge assumptions, and find clarity in complexity.
Beyond his professional work, Mathai is deeply committed to education and personal development. He is currently working on the Gurukula Program, an initiative designed to equip young people with the critical thinking, life skills, and adaptability they need for an uncertain future. His work is rooted in the belief that learning should be immersive, meaningful, and, above all, practical.
A professional member of the American Psychological Association (APA), Mathai continues to explore how psychology and leadership intersect to create lasting change. He is also a storyteller, a thinker, and someone who believes that the right question is often more powerful than the right answer.
